Let’s start with today.  I am two flat whites and a regrettably small cake into Friday afternoon.  The kids are with their granny & poppa and I am, well.. I am ‘doing my new business’.  Today that involves creating, re-creating, losing and creating again some kind of excel template to track my expenses (quite hefty, thanks apple) and income (nil to date).

Other achievements today include grappling with some serious life-min (holiday booking, re-mortgaging – when did this stuff used to happen when I had a full-time job?), buying a birthday present and emergency fancy dress stuff for a 6 year olds birthday tomorrow, trying (and failing) to effectively configure the mail client on my new macbook.  Oh, and bit of time spent worrying that (i) i should be home with the kids (ii) i am never going to get any clients (iii) this will be rubbish.

Right.  Having filled you with the fluttery, nervous excitement that comes when you begin realise your world has just leapt somewhere new, confident that you have just stumbled upon the blog of someone who will be shaping the future one post at a time I’m off
